Featuring exclusive insights from Glenmorangie’s Brand Ambassador, David Blackmore. Who recently shared his perspectives in an exclusive interview with MH, the whisky boasts a unique blend of flavours inspired by the vibrant contrasts of Japan’s capital.

Tasting Notes:

  • Colour: Bronze, reminiscent of the rising sun
  • Aroma: Powerful herbal notes with hints of toffee, contrasted by incense and saddle soap, followed by a resinous note and a touch of cedar wood.
  • Taste: A peppery mouthfeel leads into notes of tangy oranges, bitter cherries, fennel, and chewy oak.
  • Finish: Long and gently nutty, with hints of almond, mandarin, ground white pepper, and more wood resin.

Glenmorangie A Tale of Tokyo is the result of Dr. Bill Lumsden‘s fascination with Tokyo. Drawing inspiration from the city’s creativity. The whisky is the first from Glenmorangie to be part-matured in Mizunara oak casks, adding a rare and distinctive element to its flavour profile. Japanese artist Yamaguchi Akira collaborated with Glenmorangie to visually depict the whisky’s inspiration on each bottle and packaging.

  • 25 ml Yuzu Sake
  • 10 ml Mirin Syrup
  • Callous
  • 20 ml Butterfly Pea Tea
