Joburg runners, there’s a new stop to add to your route. HOKA opens its Sandton City store on 9 October, bringing its footwear, apparel and accessories into a dedicated space for everyone from race regulars to those finding their running rhythm.
And if a new pair of shoes is already on your shopping list, opening morning comes with a few extra reasons to get there early, including a storewide discount on non-sale items and complimentary race entries for the first 100 shoppers.
A New Spot To Gear Up
The 156m² store draws inspiration from HOKA’s mountain roots, combining natural materials with a modern interior. But the real draw is the opportunity to get hands-on with the range, whether you’re gearing up for your next road race, heading onto the trails or looking for something comfortable for days spent on your feet.
Founded in 2009, HOKA has built its identity around cushioned footwear and distinctive designs. Its range now spans running, hiking, walking, fitness and everyday wear, giving shoppers plenty to explore beyond their next race-day shoe.
For Joburg’s running community, the new store also offers a place to get product advice and compare options in person. Whether your week revolves around a social five-kilometre run or a longer training programme, being able to try on shoes and ask questions is a useful starting point.

What’s Happening on Opening Morning?
Doors open at 9am on Friday, 9 October, with a few perks lined up for early shoppers. Visitors can get 10% off non-sale items storewide, while the first 50 shoppers will receive an exclusive “FLY JOZI FLY” T-shirt. The first 100 shoppers will also receive a complimentary entry into the 2026 HOKA HALF Johannesburg, which could be just the nudge you need to put another race on the calendar.

Artist Max Shepard will be at the in-store Customisation Station, hand-customising HOKA footwear live throughout the event. Alongside the new gear, it’s a chance to see a little local creativity at work.

Regular trading hours are:
- Monday to Thursday: 9am to 7pm
- Friday and Saturday: 9am to 8pm
- Sunday and public holidays: 9am to 6pm
