Pepe Hernández from Orbea explains that the move reflects the brand’s commitment to fairness, uniqueness, and excellence. “With Ikhambi Distribution and their team, who share our values and commercial approach, we aim to take dealer support to the next level,” he says. Orbea’s signature customisation program and European Union production standards will remain central to this new phase.
Ikhambi Steps Up
Ikhambi is a leading name in South African cycling, known for managing high-performance brands and delivering top-tier customer service. Christian van Zyl, Managing Director of Ikhambi, emphasises the brand’s mission: “We are focused on offering more choice to customers and greater value across our premium brands. Adding Orbea gives us a complete high-end solution for retail partners and riders alike.”

Orbea assures its riders that all pending orders, warranty claims, or technical inquiries will now be handled directly by Ikhambi to ensure a seamless transition. As a result, riders can contact Ikhambi via their Pretoria office, phone, email, or social media channels.

After years of collaboration, Orbea has ended its partnership with Morecorp. Hernández expresses gratitude for their dedication and support in the region. However, he emphasizes the need to align fully with Orbea’s global standards and rider experience goals.
