Seven days down and momentum is building fast. South Africans taking part in the Red Bull Zero Excuses Challenge have officially passed the first milestone, and now the focus shifts to turning effort into a lasting routine.
The Red Bull Zero Excuses Challenge is built around a science-backed principle. Consistency creates change. By committing to one form of movement for 21 days, participants are encouraged to turn motivation into a habit that lasts beyond January.
The rules are simple. Choose one activity and show up at least four days a week. No perfection required, just commitment.
Choose Your Movement and Stick With It
Whether it is running, gym training, cycling, yoga, dance or functional fitness, the challenge is designed to be flexible and accessible. Participants choose what works for their lifestyle and fitness level, making it easier to stay consistent.

The aim is not to chase extreme goals, but to keep moving regularly and build confidence through repetition.
How the Red Bull Zero Excuses Challenge Works
Running from 9 January to 6 February 2026, the free online challenge is hosted on Strava. Participants can track workouts, log progress, unlock digital badges and stay motivated through content from Red Bull athletes and creators.
Community encouragement, shared milestones and surprise moments are built into the challenge to help participants push through the point where motivation usually dips.
