Cape Town is about to become a skateboarder’s ultimate playground. This November, Red Bull Spot Check rolls into town, turning four of the city’s most iconic skate spots into a one-day skate extravaganza.
Four Spots. One Epic Day
On Sunday, 9 November 2025, local and international skateboarders will hit City Bowl Park, Company Gardens, Thibault Square and the Civic Centre in a series of cash-for-tricks jam sessions. The action culminates in a final demo at the public-voted winning spot, where skaters and spectators can expect packed demos, wild tricks and unforgettable moments.
And the stakes are high. One lucky skater will earn a spot at an international Red Bull skate event overseas.
Meet the Skaters
The global lineup includes Florida’s Zion Wright, one of the most versatile skateboarders in the world, equally comfortable attacking massive handrails or spinning 540s out of bowls. He will be joined by Jamie Foy, CJ Collins, Chloe Covell, Gavin Bottger and South Africa’s own Brandon Valjalo, all bringing their unique energy to the streets of Cape Town.
