Winter takes a toll on your skin. Protect yourself by using natural, healthy ingredients for skincare

Avocado Oil

Target: Moisturise dry and problem skin.

Benefits: Avocado oil contains all the necessary vitamins, proteins and fatty acids to moisturize and soothe dry, itchy skin. It acts as an emollient – hydrating by filling in only the crags between cells instead of coating the entire surface.

Honey & Oats

Target: Moisturise, nourish and exfoliate irritated skin.
Benefits: Honey is a well-known natural healing salve that soothes and calms inflamed and irritated skin. It also acts as a humectant, attracting moisture to the surface of your skin, while oatmeal grains gently exfoliate the skin removing dead skin and making way for new cells. If you run out, mix up your own with stuff you have in your kitchen cupboard.

Carrot Oil

Target: Detoxify tired and damaged skin.
Benefits: Obtained from the root and seeds, carrot oil is rich in carotene – valued for its healing and detoxifying properties due to strong antiseptic qualities. Applied to the skin, it will restore moisture levels, soothing dry, irritated and chapped skin while fighting any inflammation caused by infection.

Papaya

Target: Soften and soothe tired-looking skin.
Benefits: Papaya is rich in moisturising emollients and enzymes that break down old and dead skin cells, encouraging new cell growth, making your skin look fresher and younger. Combined with shea butter and beeswax, it creates an intensive moisturiser for dry and chapped lips.

Grapefruit

Target: Control oily and acne-prone skin.
Benefits: Research shows that grapefruit and orange oil extracts are naturally antibacterial and gentle on skin, so they’ll clamp down on flare-ups and break-outs. They’re also rich in vitamins A, C and E, which are effective antioxidants and cell rejuvenators.
