Breitling has announced an exciting collaboration with NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo, resulting in a limited-edition collection of timepieces celebrating the athlete’s dynamic career and distinctive style. This partnership marks a significant moment for the luxury watchmaker and the basketball superstar, showcasing a blend of innovation and elegance.
The Chronomat Giannis Antetokounmpo Collection
The centrepiece of this collaboration is the Chronomat Giannis Antetokounmpo collection, which includes a limited series of watches co-designed by Antetokounmpo himself. The collection reflects his journey from the street courts of Athens to becoming an NBA icon with the Milwaukee Bucks. Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling, emphasised the importance of capturing Antetokounmpo’s personal style and spirit in the design, highlighting the athlete’s role as both a brand ambassador and collaborator.

Key Features and Design
The Chronomat Giannis Antetokounmpo collection features two distinct models: a 40-mm steel Chronomat GMT and a 42-mm gold Chronomat B01 chronograph. These watches showcase unique details inspired by Antetokounmpo, including his initials “GA” on the central hand, a basketball emblem on the chronograph counter, and a dial color reminiscent of the Milwaukee Bucks’ team green. The GMT model is limited to 1,750 pieces, while the chronograph is limited to just 250.
Special Editions and Personal Touches
Additional special features include Antetokounmpo’s signature on the GMT caseback and the option of a green rubber Rouleaux strap or an 18k red gold bracelet for the chronograph. The timepieces are powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 movement, visible through the chrono’s caseback, and are presented in exclusive Giannis Antetokounmpo packaging with a personal note from the athlete. Antetokounmpo expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, “My face says it all; I was blown away to see it come to life. I’m grateful to Breitling for the chance to co-design these watches and grateful to everyone who takes one home. My heart went into them.”

The Exclusive “One of One” Piece
In addition to the limited-edition models, Breitling has created a unique “Onegq of One” Chronomat B01 for Antetokounmpo, featuring golden Arabic numerals, a white inner bezel, and contrasting chronograph counters against a green dial. This exclusive piece celebrates his extraordinary rise from a stateless youth in Greece to an NBA legend, a journey documented in the 2022 film Rise and the 2024 documentary The Marvelous Journey.
Expanding the Chronomat B01 42 Collection
Breitling also announced new additions to its core Chronomat B01 42 collection. These include the introduction of a new green colorway and a Rouleaux-inspired rubber strap, a first for the Chronomat B01 range. The collection also features a lightweight titanium option, enhancing the watch’s strength and durability without sacrificing its signature robustness. The iconic “onion” crown and rider tabs remain, maintaining the Chronomat’s classic design elements that date back to its origins in 1983.
