Sportscene Cape Gate Reopens With a Fresh Look

by | Oct 1, 2026 | Life

A wardrobe refresh doesn’t always mean starting from scratch. Sometimes, it’s about giving a familiar staple your own twist. That was part of the draw at the reopening of Sportscene Cape Gate in Cape Town, where denim and sneaker customisation joined live DJ sets and fresh drops to mark the store’s new look.

The revamped space welcomed the local community for a weekend of activations, with Redbat, adidas, Anatomy and New Balance joining the celebrations. Alongside browsing the rails, guests could get creative with pieces and accessories of their own.

Denim With a Personal Touch

Redbat’s denim customisation activation gave guests a chance to put their own stamp on a wardrobe staple. For anyone who lives in jeans outside the gym or office, the appeal is straightforward: a pair that feels a little more personal.

Sneakers got the same treatment at adidas, where guests could customise their kicks. Anatomy focused on the smaller details with custom keyrings and paracord carabiners, while New Balance also joined the launch activities.

More Than a Shopping Stop

Live DJ sets provided the soundtrack, with giveaways and a Spin & Win activation adding to the programme. The mix brought Sportscene’s Social Club spirit to Cape Gate, making the reopening as much about spending time in the space as checking out the latest clothing and footwear.

If your everyday rotation could use an update, the reopened store offers a reason to browse, whether you’re after denim, sneakers or the accessories that pull a look together.
