Most guys tend to just use lube with their partners to prep for penetration. But Emily Morse, host of the podcast Sex with Emily, says that’s a huge mistake that could prevent you from having even hotter sex.
“There isn’t a no-fly zone for lube,” she says. In fact, Morse’s golden rule is that you can never use too much of the slippery stuff before, during, and even after sex.
And while you can probably guess some of the other ways you could employ lube in the bedroom—like using flavoured varieties to enhance oral sex—we’re pretty sure you haven’t tried these two creative, sexy suggestions from Morse.
1. Be a Human Slip ‘N Slide
The Slip ‘N Slide provided hours of outdoor fun when you were a kid. This version isn’t safe for your backyard—unless your nearest neighbours live 20 miles down the road—but it will definitely boost your foreplay game behind closed doors.
Put a towel down on your bed and take turns applying lube to each other’s bodies. Lie on your back and have her slide up and down on top of you, facing you in a riding position.
Though Morse admits this sounds a little strange, she assures that it’ll feel amazing for the both of you. The wetness will make it easier for her to move around and rub herself in all the right ways, stoking serious anticipation for the main event.
2. Massage Her Nipples
Lay her on her back and squirt a dollop of lube in your hands. Massage it onto her breasts, focusing specifically on her nipples.
It’s a spot you’ve probably never oiled up before, but the sensations from the lube in a new area will amplify the entire foreplay experience for her, Morse says.
Plus, playing with her nipples activates the same parts of her brain as clitoral stimulation, according to research in the Journal of Sexual Medicine.
