Moët & Chandon x Formula E: Formulate A Partnership Powered By Sustainability and Innovation

Moët & Chandon partnered with Formula E to promote sustainability and innovation at the 2023 Cape Town E-Prix which took place this past weekend. 

Formula E is the world’s first fully-electric street racing series. This past weekend brought the latest innovations in electric vehicles and alternative energy solutions at the 2023 Cape Town E-Prix. In line with this vision, the championship partnered with Moët & Chandon to promote sustainable practices and inspire people to promote renewable energy solutions and more.

Moët & Chandon continued its partnership with the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship for the fifth consecutive year. For its ninth season, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship launched South Africa’s first all-electric street circuit race. Held in the Greenpoint and Waterfront precinct. As an official champagne partner, Moët & Chandon was a part of the historic race, from the winner’s podium to the hospitality areas.

Formula E: racing for a cleaner future, faster

Formula E emphasizes environmental excellence in the four pillars of its sustainability strategy. The electric street racing series was the first sport to be certified. The net zero carbon since inception is dedicated to maintaining net zero carbon status. Last year, Formula E became the first sport in the world to join the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) . And the Business Ambition Pledge for 1.5°C commitment. Formula E has vowed to further reduce its emissions by 45% by 2030. Formula E is taking action to ensure all events are powered by 100% renewable energy to further reduce its footprint.
