I am sure you are familiar with IQ (intelligence quotient) and EQ (emotional intelligence quotient) but just how well are you with dating IQ?

Ranging from topics such as, who pays for dates, who falls in love faster and what the biggest turn on or is off.

The Biggest Turn-On

Hair, good grammar is amongst the factors that could determine whether you make a good impression.

However according to a study done by Match.com; men and women judge possible dates on their teeth. With some saying that having a good smile, takes precedence over many things, but speaking properly is vital.

The Great Wait

Each person has their own preference as to how long they have to wait before getting intimate; as every situation is different and sometimes people are shy to tell the truth.

A study done by Esquire found that most men say they wait until the third date, whilst women wait until the fifth date.

Can We Have The Bill Please?

Probably one of the most thought about questsion before you head on your date or whilst you’re on it. Now, this might sound old-fashioned; but a study found that more than 17,000 people, 84% of men said they pick up the tab most of the time.

“More than half of women say they offer to pay, but many hope the men would say no. Dating experts say it’s still expected that men will ask for the date, and then pay for it.’’  

Lizzie Post of the Emily Post Institute says “As far as etiquette goes, the one who does the asking should do the paying.”

Falling In Love Online

I am sure you’re encountered the blank stares or the ‘Mmm, are you sure?’ comment when you heard one of your friends state that they’re meeting someone online.

As it’s still considered a bit of a no-go zone.

You should not write-off the internet when it comes to dating, as couples who have met online tend to be more educated and more likely to be employed; a recent study found.

“Online couples also have a lower divorce and breakup rate than couples who meet the old-fashioned, in-person way.”

Yet, do exercise caution as more than half of online daters say others have spun a yarn about themselves in their profiles.

No Strings Attached

The popular ‘friends with benefits’ label- Match.com which surveyed more than 6000 people; found that 44% of those arrangements turn into long-term relationships. Although, it is unclear whether those are lasting hook-ups or more committed relationships.

Falling Fast?

I hate to disappoint you, bro but studies found that men are quicker to feel the love than women. One survey found that most men know whether its love just after the first date; whereas the rest know within three.

Women usually wait a month before making up their minds, when it comes down to the ‘L-word’, men are the first to utter that too.

Google before Your Date

No surprise here, as social media is known to be used by corporations to look at potential employees, well it’s the same when it comes to dating.

Match.com found that more than half of single women check out someone on Facebook before a first date, whilst only a third of men do.

Your digital profile can hurt your dating chances. Half of women — and a fourth of men — say they’d cancel a first date because of something they found online.”

Race, Politics and Religion

These factors are important to determine whether people are more likely to choose a partner. However its religious beliefs that determines whether you’ll be attracted to someone; 50% more than ethnicity and voting inclination.

Reality Shows Have An Effect Your Love Life

Watching shows like The Bachelor or The Bacherlorette could mean that you’re a restless lover and more inclined to think that there are better options in the sea. This is according to a study done with 400 married couples.
