Swatch has unveiled three new Bioceramic MoonSwatch watches, each celebrating the stunning views of Earth from space. Inspired by volcanic lava, the Aurora Borealis, and expansive deserts, these models aim to capture the beauty of our planet.
Mission On Earth – Lava
The Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission On Earth – Lava draws its design from the fiery landscapes of active volcanoes. The watch features intense red and orange hues, reminiscent of the molten lava erupting from Earth’s crust. It also pays homage to OMEGA’s 1968 Speedmaster Moonwatch “Ultraman” with its distinct orange chronograph hand.
Mission On Earth – Polar Lights
Inspired by the Aurora Borealis, the Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission On Earth – Polar Lights showcases the vibrant green and blue shades seen in the Northern Lights. The turquoise-coloured watch is complemented by a blue dial adorned with tiny silver-coloured flakes, mimicking aventurine glass, making each piece unique. The design of the subdial numerals and indexes is influenced by OMEGA’s Alaska II and III projects.
Mission On Earth – Desert
The Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission On Earth – Desert is inspired by the vast sandy landscapes covering a significant portion of Earth. Featuring a sand-coloured case and hands, and a greige dial and strap, this model evokes the Sahara Desert’s expansive dunes.
Features
Each Mission On Earth watch comes with a mission statement on the case back and features the OMEGA X SWATCH logos on the dial and crown. The battery cover displays an image of the Earth, and the watches come with an adjustable VELCRO® strap with contrasting topstitching. The hands and indexes are coated with Grade A Super-LumiNova®, ensuring visibility in the dark. These watches retain the iconic elements of the original OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch, including the asymmetrical case, the renowned tachymeter scale with the dot over 90, and the signature Speedmaster subdials.

The new Bioceramic MoonSwatch models are crafted from Swatch’s patented Bioceramic, a combination of two-thirds ceramic and one-third bio-sourced materials from castor oil.
These new Mission On Earth models will be available exclusively in selected Swatch stores.
