Bolster Your Text Game

by | Jul 21, 2015 | Sex & Love

You just received the number of a hot woman, whom you have always wanted to talk to but you break out into a cold sweat at the thought of having to text her and not knowing what to say; as you do not want to sound creepy, spellbound or just hopeless.

Here are some tips to make sure that your text game is strong:

‘Do Not Let the Fear of Striking Out Keep You from Playing the Game’

If you a fan, who loves the game; you would recognise the saying above, as American Major League baseball legend, Babe Ruth uttered them. Yes, these words can pertain to the simple issue of texting a woman you fancy.

Do not give up so easily on your texts to a woman. Most men tend to give up if they messaged a woman but she did not respond immediately or responded with a brief reply.

It does not necessarily mean that she is just not that into you but she could be busy, having a bad day or like most women do- we tend to think about how we want to respond to your messages.

Do not assume the worst, so here is how to keep her engaged.

“Give her some time (a few days… it can even be weeks) and then re-engage the girl with a text. Like all texts, you want the re-engaging text to the girl to be light, fun, and playful.”

Keep it light and playful, the aim is to have her smiling whilst reading your message. If you can accomplish that, you could be receiving a text from her soon.

Too Much of a Good Thing Is Bad

I am sure you have heard this timely saying, well texting a woman too much could kill her attraction or curiosity. You could come off as needy, as much as guys like the ‘chase’, so do women.

Providing a challenge for her will keep her from moving onto the next guy.

So what is the correct ‘texting ratio’ and is there such a thing?
Well, text her as many times as she texts you and keep the length of you messages roughly the same length as hers.

Cut out needless texts. Don’t text a girl in situations where a response isn’t necessary. For example, you don’t need to reply to her “have a good night!” text if you’re just going to say “you too!” At that point the conversation is already over. Let it end with her.”

Use your imagination- tell yourself that you have other cool woman messaging you that are interested. This could prevent you from texting her too much and getting hooked too soon.

#Do Not Take It Too Seriously

The ‘getting to know each other’ conversation should not happen via text messaging, keep that for face time interactions. It could become tiring and nobody likes typing out long messages about themselves via text; as per the advice in the first point- light, fun and playful.

“Now, a great way to make sure you keep things light in your texts to girls is by using emoticons. Lots of guys shy away from emoticons and think they’re “girly”. But guess what? You’re texting a girl and girls like that stuff. Plus, they ensure that she won’t take what you say out of context.”

Using emoticons will also help you avoid unwanted drama or misunderstandings.

The More the Merrier

Do not put all your eggs in a one basket- if you just texting one woman at time, you will not be advancing in the art of ‘texting’ as you will fall into the ‘scarcity mentality’. The only way you will gain more knowledge and confidence is if you text more than one woman; which will broaden your knowledge of knowing what to text a woman.

“You’ll transform into a texting master who knows and naturally follows all the rules for texting girls.”

Do Not Lose Sight of the Big Picture

Do not lose sight of why you are texting a woman in the first place, are you texting her in hopes of meeting up with her through text or are you just looking for some idle chatter.

“This doesn’t mean that texting girls is all logistics and planning. See, the fun, playful texts like the one mentioned earlier still play a role. Fun texts are key to re-establishing that attraction which will make her want to meet up.”

Keep the interaction moving along, build on the attraction.

Beware of having no direction as the woman could potentially become bored and the attraction could begin to fizzle out.
